In analyzing the bible verse Genesis 11:6, I conclude that it is stuffed with a lesson that may transform the state of affairs in our families, societies and nations alike if well received. In this precious verse God reveals a startling truth that resounds throughout the bible but is scarcely emphasized in our days. That lesson is unity!

Rightly understood the book of revelation is medicine to the horrible times that we as a people are submerged. When we correctly understand the historical context in which the book was written and we make correct practical applications to our lives and the times we live in no doubt our lives can never remain the same.

In modern day society, the theme of singleness is perhaps the most insane of all marriage related topics. When almost every man and woman is tirelessly searching for a partner, either homo or hetero, talking about singleness would seem absurd. The status quo is that every man must marry failure to which one would be perceived as “unreal” or even tagged with such horrors as impotency, barren-ness, broke, proud, greedy, etcetera. But is this really the status quo ante?

In a world of an increasingly growing demand for instants; instant communication, instant foods, instant services and many others of such a nature, man has opted to settle for cheap and superficial understanding of matters that pertain to his eternal interests. Man has ignited, to a large degree, a strange fire; a demand for instant salvation by not only the youth but the general population as a whole. The evidence to this is true; the proof is so overwhelming even a blind eye can see!

The absurdity in the thought that the current train of events in the Social, Political and Economic world is just an accident is as clear as daylight! From the internal massacres of South Sudan to the radical attacks in the Middle East nations, who would suppose things are normal? From growing strikes in Africa's Zimbabwe to the daily escalating number in records of attacks in Europe, do we still think life is as it used to be before?

If there was ever a time that we needed to open our eyes and make every effort to stay on the right path as God commands us, it is now. The days we live in are evil. The times declare without any doubt that the return of Christ is “[even] at the doors.”- Matthew 24:33. Satan knows that he has but a short while hence he has perfected his art in deception so that he can lead as many as he can to stumble. Ephesians 5:15, 16 says, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Marriage had its origin at creation. “, as the Creator joined the hands of the holy pair in wedlock ... He enunciated the law of marriage for all the children of Adam to the close of time.” But “Like every other one of God's good gifts entrusted to the keeping of humanity, marriage has been perverted by sin;” - {FLB 253.4}

The Sabbath institution and the marriage institution are twin institutions instituted at creation. The Sabbath, the seal in God’s moral law (Ten Commandment), is the only one that clearly identifies the God we worship. It is the mark of true worship and hence an identifying sign of God’s true worshipers.

Today we walk into a Labor ward together. A woman carrying twins has just delivered the first one of the two. How long do you think it will take for the other twin to be born? Well, this is a practical example of what is currently happening.

One theme that is so consistently profound in the Holy Scriptures is the theme of the second return of our Lord Jesus Christ to this earth. While His coming is emphatically spoken of in the New Testament, it is no secret that is has been the theme of all ages.

A theologian made this very deceiving statement regarding the relevance of doctrine, “It does not matter to which religion or denomination you affiliate yourself to. It is not only one church that has the truth. Doctrine does not matter.” In the following paragraphs is my response to the theologian's statement.
