With the current train of scary occurrences in our societies, it is not any wonder that men are ballooned with fear and uncertainty for the future. We can hardly see our next move in the future for doubt has invaded our mental system and has succeeded in holding captive our only driving tool; Faith! Our faith is chained, our hopes are dry and the future seems bleak. In such am excruciating predicament, can we bring our very “dry hopes” back to truly living hope? The answer to this million dollar question lies in the heart of the Creator’s own WORD!

In the rich, yet almost neglected, historical soil of the nation of Zambia is buried much treasure worth an incalculable price. Soils saturated with much historical facts having practical application in our days and of a direct bearing on each soul’s salvation need not be abandoned. If it happens that we choose to forget our past we risk losing not only our cultural heritage but our perception of the present and coming future concerning present day society too. Thus these soils must be mined!

There was a crisis. Judah the beloved Southern Kingdom and God’s own agent through whom He was to bring forth the Messiah of the world had rebelled. She had become haughty and incomprehensible. Her behavior was unreasonable and much more unacceptable before God. Yet even in this worrying and seemingly hope taking atmosphere God raised a Prophet. His name, Jeremiah! God had a special mission for Jeremiah; to call back Judah to the sanctified way of God almighty. This story is among the most fearful accounts of Rebellion in the scriptures. The story of Judah’s harlotry comes out in clear view. God’s chosen people had forsaken the straight path to trade in the ways of idolatry and great insanity. The Holy City had exchanged life for death. Thus somebody had to blow the trumpet and show the “good old ways” to the stiff necked rebels.
