THE DIVINITY OF UNITY

In analyzing the bible verse Genesis 11:6, I conclude that it is stuffed with a lesson that may transform the state of affairs in our families, societies and nations alike if well received. In this precious verse God reveals a startling truth that resounds throughout the bible but is scarcely emphasized in our days. That lesson is unity!

 There is so much power in Unity. Even God believes that. When he saw the descendants of Ham in unity begin to engineer and faithfully construct the enormous tower, God came down to see and He reasoned that the only way to disrupt them was by dividing their tongue.

Implication: When men speak with one language, same minds and common thoughts, there is almost nothing they can't do on the face of the earth, either good or bad. Unity brings God down from heaven to see what His children are up to. The day of Pentecost is another remarkable example we find about this striking reality. When the Apostles united, God literally came down to see by imparting the Promised Holy Spirit on them.

The Godhead too is so strong because they are three separate beings but one (united) in nature and purpose. Thus the universe was also brought into existence because of Unity. Man too received salvation because of unity; by divinity and humanity combining (uniting). I therefore, very strongly, suggest to you that if man is to continue existing according to God's plan there is got to be unity involved: Unity between man and man and man with God.

Unity is surely a divine formula of existence. Unity is a virtue!
