THE LINK!
In this modern age of information, characterized by rapidly increasing levels of knowledge in science and technology, man has lost the taste of true science. Science has practically devolved into a tool of defying and much worse denying its very creator, God. Darwinism is on the raise. Man is synthesizing daily weapons of mass destruction against his fellow man. Genetically engineered and manufactured diseases are saturating our atmosphere as even more sorrowful events of no small magnitude in the world of science are monarchically succeeding one after the other. Preventive health workers are running into rampant extinction and majority of those remaining are merely programmed “prescription-ists”, helping generate more millions of money for the deadly Pharmaceutical Industry. With such a chain of occurrences in our world we can only wonder how many more seconds we have till our own time tomb of “wrong education and irresponsibility” breaks planet earth into invisible particles of dust.
Such a portrait of science has inevitably led to the pointing of the machine gun of hatred right in the skull of science by the religious world. When men and women have plunged their minds in a pool of indifference – failing to integrate the creature with the creator and natural laws with their maker, one would wonder whether a home for “true science” in the world of religion really exists. Can science ever be married with religion? The response to this million dollar question is almost apparent. The existence of Bugema University has brought the sure answer to this mind bewildering question.
‘The Link!’ is Bugema University’s very first and very own science Magazine. The informative and highly comprehensive magazine has arrived to help magnify the University’s stance on Science; the stance that “science is the study of God’s handiwork to sustain mankind and his bio-physical systems through technology and sustainable innovations” (Bugema University Academic Bulletin, 2015-2019). Bugema University believes that, well interpreted, understood and applied, science is a power for good. This is lively reflected in the Institution’s Philosophy for the school of Natural Sciences and School of Heath Sciences. It is therefore important that such a magazine as ‘The Link!” must exist to help foster the University’s ideals to the surrounding community.
The magazine, as the name may suggest, seeks to help Bugema University make vivid the hardly noticeable ‘link’ between Science and Religion to the community. To accomplish this milestone task, ‘The Link!’ Magazine will not trade the path of publishing existing debates between science and religion. Rather, the magazine will be presenting Science informative news, research and facts with the aim to help the Bugema Community realize that “True Science” is actually a power for good. Highly comprehensive articles encircling the various science programs offered at the University will be published in this Magazine. Subjects such as “Health,” “Scientific facts” and “Current research in Science” and how they benefit humanity and tell of its Maker are just but examples of what this newly born Magazine seeks to present.
If you have ever wondered how science speaks volumes about God, how useful it is to humanity and how it can be used to benefit the world, then ‘The Link!’ is a magazine you will not want to miss! This Magazine is Bugema University’s one way of helping the community, the country and the entire world comprehend the seemingly hard truth that, rightly interpreted, understood and applied, science is a power for good!
