A NOTE TO MY LOST SPECTACLES

A NOTE TO MY LOST SPECTACLES

When I first saw you

I couldn't help but love you at first sight

The very first glance at you

Sent ceaseless chills down my young eyelids

I simply couldn't help but imagine how bright

And clear my future would be with you

As my second pair of vision

The four eyed girl I was to become

But now you are long gone

I have sought so long

For another to replace you

But my search only ends up

In my lost memories of you

You were the only thing that mattered to me

So close to my nose you entertained

The breath of life in my soul

And oxygen was in plentiful supply

Our love was magical

And people called me lyrical,

The miracle

Because your sparkling appearance

Made my whole countenance dazzle with

Brightness even though you were only on my face

I shone with rare brightness

Our love was simply real

Me inhaling your exhales

As you exhaled and inhaled my exhales

We simply could survive under water

By being close to each other

Because your breath was mine

And mine was yours

We were a complete ecosystem

Oh, how much we lived in our own world

I carried you to my favorite places

I introduced you to my friends without a word

Even my closest friends

You knew them all

From the outside you knew them

In fact, you helped me choose which ones

Because of the second sight of clarity you gave me

In our final days you helped me see

My future so clear

I mean, who wouldn't see clearly with four eyes

But now you are gone

Resting in mystery

Perhaps in the arms of nature

Enjoying her attitude of solitude

In a land far away

A place called "I don't know."

I stay in remembrance of you most times

Thinking if I will ever see you again

Though you left no clue

I still stick my pictures of you

And me on the wall with glue

Hoping that someday I will understand the mystery

Of where you, my dear spectacles disappeared to
