The cell membrane otherwise called the plasma membrane is a protective guard of the cell. It plays very many functions that over the years have proven crucial for the survival of the cell. From cell signalling to selective entrance and outlet of materials, the cell membrane does even much more. What enables these complex functions is its unique architecture. The presentation below aims at explaining the molecular architecture of the cell membrane.
